After we touched down in San Francisco we were off to Yosemite. To break up the drive out to the park which is about 3.5 hours we decided to stop in Jamestown for the night. Jamestown is a nice little gold rush town about midway between S.F. and Yosemite. We stayed at The Jamestown Hotel which dates back to 1919. In the morning we stopped by the Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. We had a great time checking out all the trains they have on the lot.
I love this little church on the road back to our hotel.
If you happen to be traveling this area, Jamestown is nice stop off.
